Further information about our 50th anniversary celebrations

Thankyou for your interest in our 50th anniversary celebrations.

The following is a rough program for the weekend’s events:

FRIDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER 2004

  • 2.00-4.00pm Opening ceremony, including guest speakers
  • 6.00pm Barbeque tea

SATURDAY 25th SEPTEMBER

  • Family sports day
  • Organised activities throughout the day, including historical and art displays.
  • Country gospel concert.

SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER

  • Thanksgiving and celebration church service

A variety of accommodation facilities are available in Esperance and Gibson. The area is also well serviced with transport, having planes flying in regularly from Perth and Kalgoorlie and also daily bus services from Perth, Kalgoorlie and Albany.

50th anniversary coming up

As some of you may know, Wongutha will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

We will be having anniversary celebrations on the last weekend in September (Friday 24th to Sunday 26th).

We have printed posters to promote the event, which you can see here if you haven’t seen one around. (Note, you will need the Acrobat reader plugin to see it properly).
