Year 12 Student, Leith Stevens, was recently named the Positive Image Ambassador for the Esperance school district in a competition run by the Office for Children and Youth, after being nominated for the award by the staff at Wongutha.
The Positive Image Award was developed to recognise secondary school students who promote a positive image of young people within their school or wider community, and is open to all secondary students currently enrolled in a school within Western Australia.
Leith has chosen hostel staff member Steve Morisson to accompany him to Perth next month to attend a Special Reward Day.
This includes breakfast at Parliament House with the Minister for Youth, a visit to Scitech, a picnic lunch, followed by a latest release movie and twilight sail aboard the STS Leeuwin.
Congratulations to Leith, an appropriately named Positive Image Ambassador.
