Bushrangers is the Cadet wing of Conservation and Land Management. This course leads to a Certificate 2 in CALM, which some students have recently received. For aboriginal students there is a guaranteed job after the course.
Bushrangers is about looking after the environment, leadership, self-motivation and self-discipline. 4 camps are held per year at Lucky Bay, Bromus Dam and 2 other locations which can be anywhere.
We study:
* Plants and bush food, where to collect it, what to eat and what to leave alone.
* Animals and how CALM is protecting them with Western Shield.
* Die Back and its influence on the environment.
* Survival in the Bush.
* . . and have heaps of fun.
