Driver Training Program
Eligible students at Wongutha Caps have the opportunity to participate in the Driver Training Program. Students begin with the Keys 4 Life program in which they must complete a 12 week course which covers topics such as:
- Driver Distractions
- Drugs and alcohol
- Driving with friends
- Consequences associated with breaking the law such as: financial, emotional and social implications that result from accidents and police infringements.
- Road Rules
To be able to participate in the program students must:
- Participate in Tuesday program consistently
- Provide the following documents:
- Birth Certificate
- Obtain a letter from the school
- Obtain a etter from the bank
- Have a key card
- Present a Student id card
- Present a Medicare card
- Cheque for $94.00
Once successfully completing the Keys 4 Life program, students then receive their logbooks and their L plates. From that point students and driving instructors will endeavour to complete the following qualifications:
- 25 Hours of driving
- Practical driving assessment (PDA)
- 25 hours of driving
- Hazard perception test (HPT)
